As part of the exhibitions Rhythm of Numbers by Lisa Lipton and Nothing to Declare by Miko Revereza, Dazibao presents a double bill event highlighting both artists. The evening is an opportunity to learn more about the processes involved in creating the works on view.
Lisa Lipton has selected two short films whose influence within experimental cinema, particularly in their exploration of shape and percussion, has informed her own formal and conceptual approaches. The screening is accompanied by a short presentation and discussion.
The evening will continue with a performance by Miko Revereza. In this live and improvised version of Nothing to Declare, the artist scrubs the film’s timeline, further fragmenting image and sound into stuttering and granular units.
