In the Air Tonight
Inspired by an urban legend about Phil Collins’ 1981 hit, American artist Andrew Norman Wilson skillfully edits together faceless clips from neon-lit Hollywoodesque eighties films. Summoning a shimmering and hallucinatory aura of the American dream, In the Air Tonight explores the myth-making of Hollywood, but also in correlation to identity formation, starkly questioning its dissociative relationship to reality.
