Call for exhibition projects

Dazibao’s programming is comprised of projects submitted to our annual call for proposals as well as projects selected at the initiative of the center. Artists and curators are invited to submit proposals for projects where image-based practices are central. We encourage applicants to consult our mandate, as well as our archives to know more about Dazibao’s programming. Proposals may be submitted for either the exhibition space or the screening room.

Though “image-based practices” commonly refers to photography, video, and film, Dazibao seeks, more importantly, to present works that reflect upon the effect and role of contemporary images in today’s society. Submissions are evaluated based on artistic rigor and the project’s propensity to contribute to contemporary societal discourses.
