Anne-Renée Hotte

Dazibao and PRIM are pleased to announce that Anne-Renée Hotte is the recipient of the 2018-2019 production-dissemination residency. Anne-Renée Hotte will be working with PRIM in the coming year to produce a new work to be presented at Dazibao in the fall of 2020.

Anne-Renée Hotte creates video and photo installations, which investigate how communities are constructed, focusing on their cultural, emotional and physical codes. Oscillating between different approaches, her works can be described both as documentaries and as mise-en-scènes.

A graduate in photography from Concordia University (2010), Anne-Renée Hotte completed her Master's degree in Visual and Media Arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2015. Her work has been presented in several locations abroad and in Québec, including the Musée d’art contemporain des Laurentides, Galerie Artem (Quimper, France), University of Indonesia Gallery (Jakarta), Volta NY (New York, USA), Caravanserail (Rimouski), FOFA Gallery (Montréal), UQAM Gallery (Montréal) and Galerie Trois Points (Montréal).
