Perhaps the most celebrated Puerto Rican immigrants to the state of Florida are the aerospace engineers who move to work at NASA and other companies like SpaceX, who are often seen almost like Puerto Rican ambassadors to outer space. Ángel Samalot was the one who mentioned regularly tuning into live footage from the International Space Station on his computer and looking down on Earth, which we included in the film, and he coordinated the SpaceX capsule launch that we see through the beginning, before leaving the company and moving back to Puerto Rico.
