Dazibao is pleased to offer a new residency opportunity!

When: From June 21 to August 18, 2018 (8 weeks)

What: Through a take-over of the organisation’s Instagram account, develop a new time-based artwork in consideration of the platform’s particularities and constraints.

We are in search of a project that:

― aligns itself with Dazibao’s mandate to further artistic experimentation and question modes of image making and dissemination within a contemporary social and cultural context;

― critically and innovatively addresses the Instagram platform as a means of creation and dissemination;

― commits to a minimum of one post per day for the entire duration of the residency. 

The project will be presented as part of Dazibao’s 2018-2019 programming year and will benefit from the financial and promotional support applicable to the centre’s regular activities.

The selected artist or collective will be notified by May 17, 2018.

* Given the virtual nature of the residency, artists living abroad will not be required to travel to Montreal for the residency.
