For the Sessions series, open-ended events presented on a single evening, Dazibao invites presenters from a range of disciplines, generations and approaches to share their reflections on contemporary image practices and discuss about artistic works.
“Work has to be cursed, [...] and laziness should be that towards which all [human beings have] to strive. Somehow, this has developed quite otherwise in real life. It’s this otherwise I want to concentrate on.”

Ariane Daoust practices laziness in the field of art and beyond, and is currently working on a PhD on the conditions of possibility and enactment of an art of degrowth at the University of Québec in Montréal.
