Adoption, identity and activism are at the heart of kimura byol—nathalie lemoine’s practice. The exhibition presented at Dazibao brings together works spanning various periods of zer* life and that were created on different continents. Several items selected from the artist’s archives tell us about a personal history, an array of official documents regarding adoption and zer artistic explorations.
As a gesture of respect for individual and collective experiences, the artist offers a space for sharing amongst adoptees.
The event is also open to adoptive parents and to the public but speaking priority will be given to the adoptees.
