This is not a lecture is program of ongoing cultural mediation activities for young people that proposes artworks as starting points for unpacking and openly discussing current social and political concerns.
A cultural outreach activity for teenagers (and those who are young at heart!).
We are all producers and consumers of images. Questioning their meanings and putting words to what one sees is a way of making this tool our own and often, by extension, of better understanding the world around us.
Images fascinate us and sometimes overwhelm us, but do we really understand all their subtleties?
Working with the artworks being presented in the gallery, Dazibao proposes to devote the time of a get-together to thinking about the meaning of an image, about what it conveys and how we receive it. With the help of a facilitator, adults and children are invited to share their views and exchange ideas.
The activity is free and open to all!
Breakfast on the house!
